If you are a registered member there will be an “upload picture” link in the “Photo Gallery Tasks” box located on the homepage.
To upload:
Make sure that the image is no more than 250 kbs in size otherwise the system will not upload the image.
Click on browse and a menu will pop up with all the files on your computer. Find the image you would like to upload from your hard drive, and hit "Open," Select File" or whatever the equivalent of 'Choose this file' is.
Give the image a short name that is descriptive (eg you uploaded an image of George Bush and he’s dancing, lol, so call you image “Dancing George Bush” or something along those lines.)
Try and steer away from “made up words”. Just a simple name in regular English is best.
Choose an appropriate category from the drop-down “album” menu. (eg George W Bush Pictures)
You can add a few words that describe your image in the “picture description” section if you wish but this is not necessary.
Enter a few keywords (single words separated by spaces) that describe the image and include your username. A keyword is a word or phrase that is entered by a user who is searching for image.
Click the “upload” button and the system will let you know when the image has been successfully uploaded.
You won't be able to see your uploaded picture on the site until it has been viewed by our moderators.
This is purely to stop people uploading unsuitable material to our site, but rest assured that your image will be moderated as soon as possible (please allow for time zone differences....as the main site admins are in Australia there might be a few hours delay moderating uploaded images because we might be asleep ;)
1.You are not a registered member. Only registered members have this option so if you wish to upload an image register at the site…it’s free.
2. You tried to upload an image larger than 250 KBS. Try and make your image size smaller. If you are using Photoshop, when saving use the “Save for Web” option, which allows you to adjust your image to an acceptable size.
3. You tried to upload an image which doesn’t have an image extension that the system accepts.
The best image extension to use is JPG.
The image extensions we accept are JPG,TGA, TIFF, PCX, PNG.
I’ve uploaded my image, why can’t I see it on the site?
1.All images uploaded to the site are checked before being added as a site security measure.
Usually within 24 hrs or sooner your image will be available to be viewed on the site.
2. Your image was rejected by the site.
This could happen for a number or reasons but you will be notified by mail with an explanation should this occur.
If you have uploaded an image incorrectly, or have put it in the wrong catagory or have incorrect spelling, keywords etc just drop us a line here and we will fix it for you ASAP.
